How Large-Scale Anthropogenic Activities Influence Vegetation Cover Change in China? A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Vegetation cover plays a key role in terrestrial ecosystem; therefore, it is important for researchers to investigate the variation and influencing factors of vegetation cover. China has experienced large-scale change recent years. We summarized literature revealed how anthropogenic activities influence China. Afforestation intensification cropland played greening. Urbanization showed “U” shape change. Mining reclamation, land abandonment consolidation, regional natural protection all had unique on Indeed, was caused by interaction part human-driven climate Anthropogenic influenced indirectly alter condition plant growth. Interaction between human still needs be further investigated future.

Natural and anthropogenic climate change: incorporating historical land cover change, vegetation dynamics and the global carbon cycle

This study explores natural and anthropogenic influences on the climate system, with an emphasis on the biogeophysical and biogeochemical effects of historical land cover change. The biogeophysical effect of land cover change is first subjected to a detailed sensitivity analysis in the context of the UVic Earth System Climate Model, a global climate model of intermediate complexity. Results sho...

Large Scale Anthropogenic Reduction of Forest Cover in Last Glacial Maximum Europe

Reconstructions of the vegetation of Europe during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) are an enigma. Pollen-based analyses have suggested that Europe was largely covered by steppe and tundra, and forests persisted only in small refugia. Climate-vegetation model simulations on the other hand have consistently suggested that broad areas of Europe would have been suitable for forest, even in the depth...

Multi-Scale Associations between Vegetation Cover and Woodland Bird Communities across a Large Agricultural Region

Improving biodiversity conservation in fragmented agricultural landscapes has become an important global issue. Vegetation at the patch and landscape-scale is important for species occupancy and diversity, yet few previous studies have explored multi-scale associations between vegetation and community assemblages. Here, we investigated how patch and landscape-scale vegetation cover structure wo...
